You run the business. Your systems run the rest.

Forja is a senior fractional engineering team. We build the software, data, and automation systems growing businesses run on, with AI working as the engine inside them, at a standard owners assume only Fortune 500s can afford.

01 When to hire us

If any of these sound familiar, we should talk.

  • You need software built. A custom portal, an internal tool, an integration layer. Your team doesn't have the capacity to ship it.

Custom build · enterprise architecture · senior team starts within 2 weeks

  • You bought a SaaS and now need to integrate it deeply with your other systems, but the vendor's API isn't enough to make it actually work.

Integration project · one connected system · AI agents at each stage

  • A junior dev or contractor has been promising a build for months. You no longer know what "done" looks like.

Software rescue · audit, scope, ship · enterprise-grade architecture

  • Your team spends Friday afternoons rebuilding the same report by hand.

    Automation + data engagement · ~4-week build

  • You're considering a full-time senior data or software hire, but the all-in cost is hard to justify for current workload.

The fractional play · same tier, sized to your need

  • You shipped something that works. Nobody knows how to maintain it.

Operate engagement · we run what we built, or inherit what someone else did

02 What we build

One senior team. One job: the system your operation is missing.

The flagship

Custom software, wired to your data.

Portals, internal tools, and integrations built to your workflow, with AI inside doing the work that used to eat the week. With the software in place, the same team runs your data through it: dashboards that tell the truth and automations that run unattended.

How we build it
03 AI as the engine

We build the system. AI does the heavy lifting inside it.

Built by Forja Healthcare · Colombia

The medical record that writes itself.

TrustMed Assistant is a product we built for doctors in Colombia. It listens to the consultation, transcribes it, analyzes it, and fills out the medical record in seconds. That same paperwork used to consume hours of a doctor's day. It is a complete system where doctors create their patients and customize which fields the assistant extracts from each visit.

Doctors love using it. The hours came back.

Inside a client system Recruiting · US-LATAM

The portal where AI matches candidates with jobs.

Inside the recruiting platform we built for Emerald Inc., AI matches candidates with open roles while AI agents handle defined stages of the pipeline. Recruiters used to do that work by hand across three systems.

04 Proof

Real businesses, running on systems we built.

Recruiting Operations US-LATAM
3 systems unified · AI matching inside

Three systems became one. The ceiling came off their growth.

Emerald Inc. connects US companies with top LATAM talent through partnerships with leading universities. As they scaled, their recruiting team hit a structural ceiling: three platforms for intake, assessment, and pipeline management, none of them talking to each other. Candidates moved between them by hand, and volume the business could win was volume the team couldn't process. Forja unified all three into one portal on a foundation built to scale. Inside it, AI matches candidates with open roles and AI agents with specific jobs handle each stage of the flow. The bottleneck dissolved. Emerald now absorbs more volume without adding headcount.

“Emerald cut candidate delivery from 7+ days to 48 hours without hiring more recruiters.”

Now in scope for a long-term engagement.

Custom Software Professional Services
portal · intranet · website · 8 months, one team

A stalled dev project. Three shipped products. A referral partnership.

A regional professional services firm needed three things built: a client portal, an intranet for internal operations, and a refactored public website. The intranet had been stalling under a junior developer for months. Forja took over the in-progress intranet, refactored it, and shipped. The client portal followed in six months, the website in two. All built to enterprise-grade architecture, scalable and maintainable. The relationship didn't end at delivery.

So satisfied they now include Forja in their own client proposals and recommend us to their existing clients.

05 The model

What 'fractional' actually means.

The same idea as a fractional CFO: senior people on your problem, scoped by project, without the full-time payroll. Here is what that looks like week to week.

  1. 01

A dedicated senior lead, always in context.

You get a named senior lead on every engagement, not an account manager passing messages. They hold the full picture: your data, your stack, your goals. The same person who scoped the project is the one on the call when something needs to change.

Direct line · Slack or email · no ticket queue

  2. 02

Work ships every week, not every quarter.

You see progress as it happens: a new portal feature shipped Wednesday, an API patched the same day it surfaces, a dashboard pulling live data by Friday. The loop is short enough that problems don't compound.

Weekly sync · async updates · nothing lost between meetings

  3. 03

Systems you own when we're done.

Everything we build goes into your repo, your cloud, your accounts. No lock-in, no usage fees, no dependency on us to keep the lights on. If you want us to run it, we stay. Engagements scale up, down, or pause based on what the business actually needs.

07 Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

What is a fractional software engineering team?

The same model as a fractional CFO, applied to software and data. Senior engineers work on your problem by project, without adding full-time payroll. They scope the work, build the system, and hand it over working. Engagements scale up, down, or pause as the business needs.

How is this different from hiring an agency or a freelancer?

A named senior lead holds your full context from scoping to delivery, and work ships every week instead of at the end of a quarter. Freelancers cover one skill at a time. Agencies often staff juniors on the build after the pitch. Here, the senior people do the work itself.

How much does a fractional engineering team cost?

Each engagement is scoped to the project, so the number depends on what gets built. As a reference, a full-time senior engineer in the US runs $120k to $180k a year before benefits, recruiting, and ramp time. A scoped engagement delivers senior output without that payroll commitment.

Can you work with the systems we already have?

Yes. Most engagements start inside an existing stack. We connect the tools you already run, replace manual handoffs with automation, and extend or rebuild the pieces that no longer scale. New systems get built when that is the right call, not as the default.

How fast can an engagement start?

Within two weeks of scoping. The first step is a 30-minute working session where we map the problem and outline the fix. From there, you see work shipping weekly. If you are not ready for a call, the free 5-minute data check-up returns a personalized read with no call required.

Who owns the systems you build?

You do. Everything goes into your repo, your cloud, and your accounts, with no usage fees and no dependency on us to keep things running. If you want us to operate the system after launch, we stay on. If not, your team takes over with full ownership.
